  10. Eli Quichocho says:

Hey, I’m from Dothan Alabama too. Born in Flowers Hospital. and although I have not lived there all my life I still go back there to visit my family about every 2 weeks. I only live in Birmingham now so it takes about 3 and a half hours to get there. I even know one of your old teachers, Miss Glenn. I don’t see how you found spots to skate down in Dothan. There seems to be something wrong with everything there. The streets are rough and everything’s so spread out. I found a couple things to skate though. Skated Northview High School a little before and that’s was okay. But i would like to know if there’s any particular spots you can remember where I could skate.

    Thanks,
    Eli

  35. Jamie Noble says:

yohey!!!* My name is Jamie from Ottawa, Canada, age 25

Jamie, first off you rock dude, you are a huge inspiration and i pray for ya all the time. Just wanted to ask what you think of the current skate industry standard for pricing and what not. Do you think that skateboarding has lost it’s focus and is focused on too much of the wrong thing. i.e. making money instead of serving the skate community?! Do you think it’s possible that one person could make such a huge difference by doing the right thing and change all of that?! or do you think that the downslide is too much for even God to fix.

I’m asking this because I really believe that the skate companies//industry should be all about the kids and serving the skate community, really reaching out and making a difference in the world around us, not just entertaining but giving people purpose. I just wanted to encourage you to be that person, and to let that light shine, cuz God’s given you an amazing platform and I don’t know if you’ll ever even see this question, but I pray that you rock it hard for Him, cuz what you are doing is awesome, just don’t forget that the people are the reason. Rock the LOVE. LIVE it LOUD. HOLD fast HOPE. LET COURAGE OUT. this is IT the time when LIGHTS will call upon His name and EVERYTHING will be made to sing the power of the CHANGE. ALL HAIL to the KING. rock on Jamie. uR the man!* GET SPARKED and ignited the world with purpose passion, faith and love. It’s time for Justice to arise and the world to know JESUS lives. later sk8er!*

    love ya dude* rock on*

HEY JAMIE i REMEMBER ONE OF THE FIRST ZERO ADS THAT SAID SOMETHING LIKE………ZERO IS WHAT SOCIETY LABELS SKATEBOARDERS SO WE STARTED A COMPANY NAMED WHAT WE ARE LABELED OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THANK YOU THAT **** INSPIRED ME AND EVERY TIME i GO SKATE IT GIVES ME PRIDE THANK YOU!

  45. Ben Dover says:

How long did it take you to set off the Zero company?

  46. Jamie Thomas, never thought I’d actually get a chance to possibly comunicate with ya man, this little questionnaire thing is pretty awesome thanks for doing it. Sorry for how long this post is = /. I’m not sure if you get a chance to actually see all of these posts or not but my question for the video will probably be in the last paragraph of this post.

I still haven’t really figured out what my main question is going to be, maybe I’ll figure it out while I type this, but I do have something to ask. I made a 3D animated video in college for a class project and I ended up making a skateboarder doing a kickflip at a skatepark me and my friends skated growing up in Ormand Beach, FL. Anyway, I made a 3d model of your head and put it inside of a mask of my version of Todd Mcfarlane’s SPAWN. I thought you might be intrested in checking it out so I put it on youtube, here’s the link…
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiLJJwXrkls&feature=channel_page
It’s kinda goofy and I’ve got you skating in Lakais which I don’t think you’ve ever skated for, but I had already modeled the shoe so I went with it. If I would have made it recently I would’ve used the Fallens.
Do you think it looks like you in the end there, I kinda messed up on the nose a little I think.

Anyway, you were always a big inspiration to me as a skater, something I’m sure you’ve heard a thousand times. Me and a friend of mine, who have been like brothers since we were 6yo, have always been arguing which is better, rollerblading or skateboarding. You know that old chestnut, he’s the rollerblader and I’m the sk8ter. When he showed me a video of a rollerblader doing the Leap of Faith and said “Ha! You’ll never se a skateboarder trying that.” Then the next year, BAM you tried it ! The rollerblader he showed me didn’t land it either so don’t feel bad, I’m just stoked you gave it a shot.
I was always the guy doing the huge knee braker stuff myself, until I broke my knee. Then I started watching Mullen and Daewon videos, stopped skating the durable Zero boards and started skating the lightweight Habitats and got all technical.

Well, I guess my main question is going to be…
There’s a lot of negativity that goes along with skating, I remember an old man once came down out of his driveway when I was skating in the street one day as a kid and just told me flat out “It would be really great if you just died!!!”, just because he thought that skateboarding was evil. You’ve always seemed to skate for symbols that make fun of this, Zero, toymachine, “Welcome to Hell”, etc. I know that people hate us because of the damage we do to property from the lack of skateparks where you don’t have to use helmets, not that I support not using them but you know how us skaters are, and also that a lot of skaters give the rest of us bad names by being drug addicts, kleptomaniacs, litter bugs and all that stuff. So, do you ever think that this kind of stereotyping will die down due to possitive messaging reinforcement by professional skaters, amatuer skaters, and so on possibly even an influx in the skateboarding comunity to create groups dedicated to improving their communities? You know, instead of being litter bugs.

  47. i-oze says:

would you like to buy a zero deck autographed by Jamie Thomas 2002 cork city skate park. it will be on ebay soon.
